Hello,

would anyone happen to know of an early period forum focused on accuracy ? It's for a friend. He's interested mainly in reenacting the XIth century. He wants to build a Irelandish "ring-fort-farm", I'm guessing that he's reffering to a "moth & Bailey" of sorts. Any forum, french or english, would be good.

Thank you

Your friend might want to check out the LivingHistory.co.uk forum, especially the 410-1100 section.

Do you mean an Motte and Baile Castle? If so that's Norman, not Irish.

I'm not sure what he's looking for excactly. I've refered him to various Norman, Saxon and Norse sites. I guess that he'll find his way from there.
