Has anyone seen "Flesh and Blood" (I'm pretty sure thats the title), with Rutger Hauer? It looks to be quite a correct little piece on 16C Landsknechtes. Besides, it Rutger Hauer!!!

Anyway, places like Wal-mart have it for $7.50 right now and I thought I would get an opinion first.

Interested,

Well, it is visually pretty interesting. They present some aspects of the later middle ages and renaissance very well (people casually riding by hanged corpses, for example. Plauge for another). Most women I know of who have seen it hate it, as there is a rape scene in it.

For the price, you could hardly go wrong, and it you like Rutger Hauer you will probablylike it very much.

We have two copies. It is also called Rose and Thorn on some tapes. Buy it, you won't regret it. Plus, Jennifer Jason Lea looks great in the nude bath scenes in the "cut" scenes, which are on the internet somewhere.

If you have a cable package, channels like Starz and Encore play the uncut version often. My Replay T.V. is programmed with the keyword "medieval", meaning it automatically records any program with that in the title or description. Some weeks, I'm deleting "Flesh and Blood" every other day.

For whatever it's worth the few times I've tried to watch the movie, it made my skin crawl.
