Hello,
I'am a new member on this Forum and I am French.
I don't speak very well in english.
so be cool with me.
I practice Medieval martial art in an association with a maitre of weapons.
We trying to be very historic, based on all europeen manuscripts.
All blows are really.
We fight with sword, dagger, axes, shields, mass, plague of weapons, Vouges.
All engagements are with all equipements (XIII centuries).

My wasted times have, I make somes helms, armour pieces, mail, Forge ...

je crois qui ton anglais est meilleur qui ma française. et aussi, je te peux dire qui il y a beaucoup de personnes ici qui peut dire le même chose. tu parle solement française et anglais? si tu préfères, je n'ai pas de problem si tu me écris en française. bienvenue à FireStryker.

That would be good practice for those of us whose language skills are not all we'd like them to be.... Even for those who do fairly well in other languages, most are pretty weak on the kind of specialized vocabulary we use in our historical discussions here.

Lambert, or some of our other French folks, can you tell us about any medieval-history discussion groups like this one in French?

The only french forum I know is : http://fr.groups.yahoo.com/group/compagnies-troupes-medievales/
Sometimes I go to the Armour archive forum or Arador.com forum.
But there are no many french forum
I don't know why because we have a lot of medieval association in the country.
