Has anyone attempted to bend oak in this manner? What method did you use, soaking or steaming over a form?

This looks like a fairly simple bend to do. I would reccomend using a steam bending method as both soaking and boiling will greatly weaken the wood fibres. In any case I find steam bending to be the simplest method anyway, with the least drying time and clean up afterwards.
