My friend Jason sent me this email this morning. Please keep an eye out and let him know if a harness matching this description with dubious provenance shows up on Ebay or elsewhere.

My garage was broken into and a harness was stolen from it....the following items were stolen-

  • A rear point bascinet with interchangeable round nose visor/grill with a welded link stainless aventail
  • a set of arms from the #13 churburg harness
  • a set of cuisses from the #13 churburg harness
  • a set of matching greaves
  • a set of spaulders with three lames
  • a nine-piece breastplate with stop rib
  • left and right half gauntlet(s).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See a picture of what I believe is this harness on their household website http://www.leonthas.com. Look for "Lord Kieran MacLeod"

If you have information regarding this harness please contact Jason Monarch at kieran_macleod@leonthas.com.

Thanks-

Gwen

As a follow up, I have had some questions asked: Where did this occurr?
Is the armor Jason's or someone else?
Any new information sent to you from Jason?
If you wish to check, here is the thread concerning this. http://www.armourarchive.org/ubb/Forum7/HTML/003517.html

Hi Rhys-

I saw that you had cross posted this thread on the AA- thanks.

I sent Jason a link to the thread here, and suggested it post to any other list he could think of to raise the alarm. I know he reads AA on and off, so maybe he's seen the cross post. Maybe not, which is why he's not responding to the questions being raised on the AA thread.

All I know is that his garage was broken into some night last week and the armour stolen. He didn't say if the armour was his or his wife's. He did say his insurance company was being pretty good about things and it looked like he could have it replaced, so he was pretty relieved about that. He lives in Michigan, as several folks on AA pointed out.

I'll send him an email and the link to your thread so he can answer.

Thanks!

Gwen

Gwen,
I am glad to hear that things are going well for him given the circumstances. I look forward to hearing from him.
Thank you.
