I ran across a spectacular tapestry when I was in Los Angeles buying fabric. It has heraldic shields with crests over a motto alternating with a fully capisoned knight & horse on a ground of fleur-de-lys. This is not a period pattern, but if you like medieval stuff of any variety, it would look cool as a pillow on your living room couch, chair cushions, runners, etc.See it here: http://www.historicenterprises.com/tapestry.html
The edge got cropped a bit in the photo so half of the lower left motto is lost, but the piece shown is approx 18" square and encompasses all of the motifs in the pattern. It's a cotton blend tapestry (mostly cotton) which is about 54" wide.
I'll sell it at my cost of $14 per yard, plus shipping. If anyone is interested, please let me know ASAP, as I have a hold on the roll for 1 week and beyond that whatever hasn't been sold goes back on the rack. I'll be making the yardage I bought up with satin cord edging and a zipper, ready to put on an 18" pillow which we will sell through the Historic Enterprises site.
Email me directly at historic@pacbell.net if you'd like some.
