I did some costumes for a movie 2 years ago, and the movie has finally been released.

Having seen the script when they came to me for the costumes, I wasn't expecting much from the movie. However, I was promised screen credit for my work, so I bought the video.

Having seen the video, all I can say is "Oh dear".

Boy, what a piece of tripe. Your typical low budget, badly shot, badly acted, poorly scripted swashbuckler movie. Lots of canned music and "swish-swish-kerching" noises in the fight scenes.

Lots of unpaid SCA and Faire people for extras. A fight scene starring Brand and Dirk Lancaster of "The Armour Store" fame. Yikes.

Maybe kids will like it as there is no sex but lots of heroic guys with swords and maidens in distress. I plan to loan it to my 12 year old page who has a thing for swords and swordfighting.

Anyway, if you ever see it on the shelves at your video store, this is the disclaimer from me:

I only made the things they paid me to make, i.e. all the nice white shirts (none of the grey/brown shirts worn by the supporting cast), Eric Robert's outfit, Ron Perlman's outfit and the doublet worn by the "German" guy, Otto. I had little to no input on anything else, so don't blame me!

It was sort of thrilling to see my name in the credits though, since I never got credit for the stuff I did for Outbreak and Cable Guy.
