I'm posting this here because I suspect that we are almost all in each other's address books and therefore prone to cross-infection (except me because I run Mac.

)

Anyway, if you've not seen it yet, there's some sort of virus going around that offers you a "free MP3 player" or some such nonsense. Suject line is "Re:" with nothing following the "Re:" There is no text with this message, just the attachment.

I know nothing about it other than I've gotten about 20 of them today, some from people who I know had no idea they sent them to me, other people I don't know with email addresses like "_armoury@mtaonline.net" and "nothelm@pixi.com", so I have to assume it's making the rounds of the historical circles.

If you've not seen it yet, congratulations! My deleted message file is full of them....

Unfortunately we saw a few of them yesterday, *grumble* we had no attachement names associated with said emails. Fortunately for us, my PC systems have virus protection and don't seem to like "funky" email addresses.

Hopefully the twinks that write this stuff will eventually grow bored and do something useful with their time. (yeah right)

Thanks for the info! We got ours cleaned out last night. I've received this from horse breeders, fellow re-enactors stateside and in England. I think we've received about a dozen so far, and they all have "you are fat" written into the attachment.
