This persona thing gets tiresome when you have to remember exactly where you are before you can tell someone WHO you are. Those of you who play in one group/era likely have less confusion from it, but I'm starting to feel like Sybil. Back to Bob. Sorry for the unnecessary offsite persona excursion. It could have been worse, I could be changing to "The Honorable Lord Maister Stormrider von Skinnyshins mit Whitetush of Vampire's Lair, called Slayer" ... must stop surfing Routier site .... must stop soon ... sarcasm poisoning symptoms appearing regularly now ...

Poor Bob....having a senior moment agan? I sympathise, as I'm getting them more and more regularly. What were we talking about??? Oh yes, identity problems. Do you think it's more difficult for you because you're playing with people who are all over the place geographically and timewise? Why do you think its easier for those of us who do one time and place? When I did SCA, I always knew who *I* was, and considered that everyone else was just dressed weirdly. They had strange customs, too, so I just addressed everyone politely and usually didn't have a problem. What sort of specific problems are you having? If I / the rest of the Board have any suggestions that might help we'd be glad to offer them. Gwen

Oh, aren't you the funny one!I stay permanently confused, so it's not so much that. I think it's hereditary - you get it from your children. I've got a little brown accordion file on my computer desk with passwords and logon information on 3x5 cards. It's full. That's pretty silly, I'm not important enough to need that kind of documentation. I keep waiting for the bank to send me a letter saying "Dear Mr. Hurley, after reviewing your account balance history over the last three years, we've decided that a PIN for your account is no longer necessary. We don't think a thief would even bother." Maybe it's just an old 60's syndrome - I just gotta be me!
