I'd like to address a complaint to the Firestryker Board Administration.

First of all, this Board is defective. I am a moderator, but this stupid hunk of junk wouldn't let me put this post in the Information Center where it belongs. I demand that you call Marvin the Technician and get him to fix this problem immediately, or I'll sulk until you do.

Second of all, when you first put this board up, you must have signed on with a different advertising company than the one you're using now. The people who joined the board were pretty laid back and we had some good discussions.

Lately, the first post from new members always contains the phrase

"DON'T SHOOT ME"

I demand to know what policy changes have taken place without notifying current users.

If we have become an official party organ of the NRA, I want to know about it.

If you've started advertising that members must come into a conversation with their hands raised begging for mercy, I want to know about it.

If you have been advertising for cannon fodder, I want to know about it.

If it has been noted that existing members have taken up eating babies, exhibiting signs of schizophrenia, or bouts with road rage, I want to know about it for my own safety.

If you have not changed party affiliation, advertising agency or tactics, I'd like to bring this trend to your attention so we may rectify the situation immediately.

I find this situation intolerable, and if you don't do something about it, I'm going to stand here with my hands on my hips, tapping my foot impatiently and scowling at you until you do.

So there.

Gwen, who has no sense of humor and never smiles. So there!

MARVIN!!!!!! (fierce animated, yet hushed conversation occurs in the background as Hauptfrau taps her foot, her hands firmly placed on hips scowling at the administrator and Marvin.)

"Well alrighty then." the administrator says to the small green alien with a brush comb on what looks like a Roman helmet. He rapidly scurries into the back room muttering "Oh dear...oh dear."

As the administrator walks up to Hauptfrau, Chef de Chambre is seen pushing a vehicle into a garage. It looks to be badly damaged, possibly scorched.

"Beauty isn't she?" the administrator indicates the remnants of the once electric blue Camero Z28 riddled with shotgun blasts. "Bagged me that one on route 128 last night."

"NRA? I don't know what you're talking about." Stepping infront of the sticker in the window. (Angelic expression on face)"Rest assured that no policy changes have been made." (surrepticious hand movement to heavily armed people sends them back into the shadows herding the cannon fodder off stage).

"Well I guess I do change party affiliation every time I vote. I have to pick somebody, but then immediately change back to Independent. "

"Not sure where the skiddishness comes from. Haven't held anybody at gunpoint that I am aware of." "Perhaps it was another alleged Boogie man attack in the Internet conduits. I constantly hear how strange things keep happening to people on the way to the Forum."

"In any case, we shall put Marvin to work on the posting situation. I have noticed a bit of irritability in the system myself."

So there...

If it makes any difference, the only reason I started out with "Don't Shoot Me" is that I heard you folks are really strict on authenticity and I didn't know if my inquiry was well suited for your forum. It was not, and I withdrew it, so now I'm not afraid of getting _my_ Z28 blasted

PoD, we're joking. We just noted a few people who have come in that contain similar thoughts about being "shot" or "blasted".

No worries. But seriously, if you are recreating a period piece, we'd be happy to offer assistance.

Actually, I'm glad you haven't cleared this thread yet. I am tremendously interested in what sort of rules the Salinas Swordsmen use in their tourneys. As I understand it, you guys use real swords.

What's your injury rate? How long do you fight? How are your tournies structured?

You guys may be able to give us some valuable insights to live steel combat.
