Hi Edward,

I've seen lots of dice extant from Roman to Renaissance, 'tables', parts of game boards, other types of game pieces, but I have yet to see a Medieval dice cup. Part of the problem might be that unless such an object were found with a set of dice in or near it, it might not be identified as such.

There are a number of late medieval lead objects that are sometimes described as dice cups. They are about 7cm tall, and have one flat side. They are also described as bird feeders, but are mostly likely holy water vessels.
The dice association comes from a Thames find of one of these cups, that had a number of rigged sets of dice in it. The suggestion was that someone had been cheating at dice, was discovered, and both he and his dice were dumped in the river.
I may have one of these cups in stock, but the stock is in PA, ready for Pennsic.
