Greetings Everyone,

I do hope that I am posting this to the correct topic area. I have seen a great deal of detailed information being posted. So I thought you might be able to help me with developing a realistic interpretation of my persona.

I am looking to re-create a mid-fifteenth century knight from the northern germanic/lowlands regions.

I am just starting out and with basically no background information, so I am a blank slate or empty vessal just waiting to soak it all in.

There are some good looking German re-enactor groups who have good websites to get your juices flowing. I'll try and post some here tomorrow.

Probably the biggest drawing point for my interest was the "gothic" style armor. This is going to sound silly, but it called out to me. I understand if this sounds childish and I beg your patience. It was also from this time and region that the horse that I have always dreamed of owning was bred. So now I am working to take my childhood dreams and actually do something with them.

My german is really rusty, but I'm sure I can probably get it into reasonable working fashion with a few tries.
