Wars of the Roses isn't going to help you much as it is definitely a English dynastic squabble. While there was some spill over onto the continent in regard to alliances, it won't really help for 15th c Germany. Are you interested in Northern or Southern? Martin can probably help you out immensely in this area as he is a co-founder of 1476 (correct me if I'm wrong ). I think his area of specialty is Southern Germany. Hi Siggy, well you already got a tip from Jenn! Can you read German? As there are not that many books on medieval Germany in English. If you can read German I would for one recomend the book list on the 1476 homepage, for a genral impression on 15th century Germany I would recomend the following book: "Alltag im Spätmittelalter" Harry Kühnel ISBN 3-222-12451-5 As Jenn mentioned my field is southern Germany but a very smallbut good north German group is: http://www.bauer-und-bonde.de/ they are located in Hamburg and are displaying the life of north german 15th century peasants.Martin -------------------- Verpa es, qui istuc leges. Hi Siggy, jupp, then most good information is in German. Don´t know if you found the english version of that page I mentioned? Here it is: http://www.bauer-und-bonde.de/english/eindex.html In any case the stuff from northern Germany is a bit differant than southern Germany, starting fron ceramics over to slightly differant clothing and other bits and pieces.Martin -------------------- Verpa es, qui istuc leges. A garden is a very relaxing hobby to have, helps releave stress, so Im told. Thats a good one to have!I have the utmost respect for caligraphers! I dont really have the patience for it. By the time I was taking type/text in college, we were switching from type to font We all cheat with computers now lol I enjoy creating fantasy lettering styles like Tolkein and what not for those Sci-fi and fantasy folks I work on projects for, but actually sticking to a pre-recorded art form is patience I lack! lol Kudos to you. -Jason -------------------- ~ Jason Banditt Adams Illustrator for the gaming industry www.Rogue-Artist.com "Jancemeijer von Magnus" Organization head, "Magnus Kompanie" Aufgebot Hessen Kassel 1471-1480 www.GothicGermany.org
