I am preparing for a research trip (hopefully with a research grant!!!) overseas to study existing furniture and woodwork from the medieval and early renaissance periods. What I need is to get access to all of the lesser known peices of furniture and woodwork. Can anyone who may have seen any woodwork of interest off the beaten track let me know where and what it is? Likewise anyone who may know of interested parties in the UK and on the Continent who may be able to point me in the right direction.
I would be really grateful for any help.
Julian

Ulfgar,

What is your definition of "overseas" for you?

US?
Europe?

Whoops sorry. I am in Australia. I will probably be going to the UK and europe- Spain, Italy, France and Norway, possibly Austria as I know of good collections in these countries. But I need to find the less well reported peices along the way- the stuff that is not in the museums.
