I am looking for: Eaves, Ian, On the remains of a jack of plate excavated from Beeston Castle in Cheshire, 'Journal of the Arms and Armour Society', Vol. 13.2 (September 1989), pp.81-154.Beg, borrow, buy. Any one know where this can be aquired? Photo copies of the needed article? Thanks,Arik -------------------- Arik

Hi Arik,Good luck finding it. I'm searching for my own copy, but have regular access to one. Ken Trottman carries it on occassion. You might find it a little dissapointing, it spends the actual article discussing fragments, where they were excavated, and there is no reconstruction on the jack of plates. They show a half dozen examples - all photographed from the outside. Most of the article is footnotes, largely dealing with brigandines, and 3/4 of the pictures are exterior shots of brigandines - mostly 15th century. -------------------- Bob R.
