The Yorkist Age: Daily Life in the Wars of the Roses by Paul Murray Kendall, 525 pages. Is this book a good source? I've never seen or heard of it before, but I won one on ebay (for $1.20, so I shan't be put out if it's crap). Thanks!

Peder: recieved the review, much appreciated!

(If anybody is interested...)According to the review, it has some serious problems. The content appears to be fine as he uses a plethora of period documents, letters, wills, etc. According to the review, however, they are all strung together in an often random, seldom fluid manner which gives the presentation a very stocatto effect. The reviewer's primary concern is that that as a result of this hodge-podge presentation a real picture of "daily life" is not really presented.

If anyone is interested, I'll post my OWN scathing review after I get the book and have a chance to look through it.

Damn you Lancastrians!

Stop harassing old Paul Murray Kendall ! At least he wrote a non-hostile biography of Richard III. He comes from a long tradition of rambling, meandering, British Scholarship.

Meanies.

Look, Bob, I was only repeating what the review said. I don't think it's polite to just go around calling someone a "Lancastrian" left and right. I've been called a lot of things in my time, but this one hurts the most. Did I ever tell anyone about S necklace you keep in your bottom drawer? Or about the time I overheard you say "Shakespeare sure had it right about Richard III"? And yet I don't call you a "Lancastrian", cause that's just mean.
