Just an FYI:

I pulled this from the Portable Houses thread in Medieval Lifestyles Forum.

quote:
Kenneth Urwin: A Short Old French Dictionary For Students

Kenyon College Bookstore has several copies of this mass market size paperback in good condition. Covers worn and rubbed. Basil Blackwell, Oxford, 1985, 108pp., ISBN 0 631 07970 X. Our number 13,332.

Originally I had been frustrated in my search of other more substantial dictionaries of Norman/Old French that didn't require additional translation. I found one that is a translation from old French into English. Woo Hoo!

A Dictionary of the Norman or Old French Language by R. Kelham, 370 pages; ISBN: 0 85948 050

The copy I have was printed by Tabard Press in 1979. It also contains the Laws of William the Conqueror. Both the dictionary and the Law section were orginally published in 1779.
