Hello,

I am trying to recruit interest in patricipants for a peasants' revolt reenactment to be held at the SE Ohio Renn-faire in Cambridge Ohio late Sept. 2005. 15c and 16c impressions are requested.

This will be a full-on reenactment held at the faire grounds in conjunction with normal faire activities. If there is enough interest, we may hold a tourney based on 15c. rules established by King Rene of Anjou(?)

We are looking for men-at-arms and peasants. We will aide in outfitting the peasants, but are also looking for donations for peasantry equipment. Equestian impressions are a special issue, please feel free to contact me with those as well.

We are also looking for volunteers for additional safety instructors to aid the head safety instructor.

We are in negotiations with a local weaponsmith that may be willing to give incredible discounts to participants looking for rebated steel.

This event is for fun at a relatively small faire that is trying very hard become a big faire. And I am trying very hard to get a reenactment to this part of the states, so comprimise is being had on both parts. You will get the best of both worlds, a faire and a reenactment. I want to ensure that everyone has a good time, so feel free to send me feedback.

The event is free to both participants and patrons. Merchant space is limited but still avaliable at a small fee. Living history displays are also very welcome!

The reenactment is courtesy the "Order of the Magnus" Western PA living historians and the faire is courtesy Nevertheless productions. Please feel free to contact me using the icon above the post with any questions, concerns or comments. Please e-mail instead of PMing. Also feel free to post replies so that everyone can benefit from your questions.

Thank you

I have some friends here in southwestern West Virginia who would probably be delighted to come. We are trying to start up a 14th century group here (to no avail). We are equipped for 14c reenactment but we may be able to scrounge up some 15c stuff. I may just need a new tunic...we will see. Contact me directly if you wish...

Wolf, we probably know the same people in Charleston. Mark & Paul. I was part of the Clay Center set up when they had the Higgins Armoury Exhibit there. We slightly ticked off the local SCA members because they contacted us instead of them. If you saw pics then I was the one in blue and gold with the Pembridge helm. I already told them no on Roman. 14c is as late as I will go and 10/11c Irish is as early as I will go.
