PARMA's annual Fort Rodd Hill event will be June 28-July 5 2004. We will have a 14th century encampment, as well as Viking and 17th century groups. Other groups are welcome. Email me for details.

The posting should have been in the Canada (west coast ) section. Fort Rodd Hill is a National Historic Site near Victoria BC. It is a 19th century naval fortification overlooking the Pacific Ocean. http://www.fortroddhill.com/
The event is a week or so long, which gives participants a chance to relax, and to fall more easily into the routines of camp and persona (if I can use that term).
This year will be a timeline event. So far, we have Norse, 14th century, and 17th century. The three groups have mostly civilian portrayals- middle class craftspeople. Military groups are welcome though, but you may have to work harder at finding things to do throughout the day.
Standards- ten foot rule is the minimum, but almost everyone exeeds this. No modern eyeglasses during the day.
The public is present during the day, but the park is ours from late afternoon on. The visitor numbers are small, except for July 1 and 4.
