I know for almost all of you, Germany is too far away, but perhaps you have some holidays left ;-)
This year is the 500 year celebration of the famous siege of Bretten in sw- Germany, a really big festival with some thousand participants (every year the whole city turns back 500 years in fact), and for this birthday the promoters are planning a really nice event: A four-day baggage dating 1504 (hope this is the right translation for a military unit travelling to a battle) of 300 men, 20 mounted, and some light and heavy artillery. As I heard, there is still enough place to join in. AFAIK a lot of the participants are 1470/80 reenactors, so if your equipment is a bit before 1504, I think there´s no problem.
