Greetings, all!
hey everyone...
just an announcement about our tavern night, April 28th at 6pm at Genots house. Yes, I know most of you cant come
, but thought you might be intersted in what we're doing up here.It will be a "persona" potluck, where we set up a pavilion in Genot's backyard, then sit around telling stories and eating good food all evening. Don't forget your story/poem/song to share!
[I told them everyone should bring a song/story/poem to share. Rules below.]
-- this should be a lot of fun, and will help keep us on track and in period.
I'm offering three choices for our potluck:
a) you may choose and cook a documentable 15th century dish, letting me know by 4/13 what that dish will be (I suggest simple dishes -- a stew or meat pie, or perhaps a vegetable dish);
b) you may choose to be guided by me in the choice of a dish to cook (reconstructed recipes gladly provided);
c) you may bring food that requires little or no preparation (bread, semisoft cheeses, pickles, fruit, etc.) -- this also requires letting me know what you'd like to bring.
In any case, please bring your own alcoholic beverages and please bring food that requires little or no onsite preparation -- microwave reheating okay -- I'd like to try and minimize the amount of time we spend in the house and out of persona.
See you all there,
Genot
(You've been sent this e-mail because you indicated an interest in attending this event. Please let me know whether you intend to attend by 4/13, and what your food choices are, so that arrangements can be as organized as possible.)
Date/time: 4/21 (Sat.), 6-10PM
Location: 6211 S Ryan St., Seattle (directions will be sent out later)
Phone: (206) 722-8981
Bring: food to share, your own drink and seating, and entertainment for all
