Author Topic: curious helm johann matzke New Member Member # 1209 posted 12-22-2006 12:42 PM                I spent the other day at the Wallace collection, staring at an odd helm. It was described as an "owl faced" sallet and dated to 1500 ad. Has anyone ever heard of this form before as its a new one to me. I'd post a picture...but they get a bit testy 'bout photography there.
