The text below the picture seems to explain about the time this bascinet was used - but I doubt the conical form was still in use in this period. Does anyone know of contemporary paintings that proof the existance of this helmet in a particular time? They date to the late 14th or early 15th century. There have been at least two or three articles written on the find, one by Ffolkes from 1911. I found a webpage containing the article of Ffolkes, and this article is also supposed to show pics but for a reason I can't find out the pics will not appear when I open that page.Do you know any other source that shows the images of those helmets? Are there any books about this matter?
