Hi folks,
just returned from a trip to England - great time there.
Having seen some effigies there which dated from 1410 to 1425 around I wondered if the great bascinets shown really did not have a visor anymore or if the visors were just left away by the artist to show the knights face (quite likely, though there are even no mounting devices to be seen).
Does anyone know more about it - especially, if they still wore visors at this time, what style they would have been? Houndskull? Thanks a lot in advance!!

Bascinet du Palais des Doges, Venise, Italie, 1400

A french great bascinet, circa 1430-1440

A great bascinet from Churburg, I don't know anymore about it

A great bascinet from 1425
