Hi Dustin,There is an online site covering early firearms, that importantly has posted many images of the day showing handgunners in action. I believe they cover it on that site, but unfortunately I am not working on my home computer, and I have no bookmarks here to find a link for you. I think the site has been linked on FireStryker before, and you might find it by searching for the topic. -------------------- Bob R.

Dustin, click the search link at the top and search on "Handgonnes", I think three topics will show and there are quite few links. I don't know if the one that Chef mentions is amongst them, but it's definitely worth a shot.J -------------------- ad finem fidelis

Yes, from a burgundian manuscript of 1458 (at the departemental archives of the North at Lille in France, cote 3516) we find that :each handgun has a "torcays"(bag) with a "bluchotois"(measure for black powder) made of tin-plate, a mould in white stone for the "plommets" (bullets) cast and a "estampe"(loader) in iron.
