Who're they made by? They look like an Armour & Castings pair, but I can't be sure. How's the articulation in them, and is there sufficient padding between the gloves and the plates for combat?

Thanks!

I don't know who made them. Bought them in a shop in my hometown (tilburg). The articulation is very good. There is no padding petween the gloves and the armourplates. But I tested them yesterday in wepaonstraining and I didn't need padding.

Hello,
I guess these: http://www.outfit4events.com/index.php?main_page=medieval_info&cPath=26_31&products_ id=354 are the same.
If so, they were produced in the Czech Republic, although I din't know any specifics. Therefore the price in the shop I mentioned (371,00 Euro) is far to expensive. I hope you didn't spent that much money, especially since it seems that gauntlets and gloves are glued and not sewn together.
Another thing is that typical look and quality of czech armour polish, once you bring them near to any sort of moisture, you can almost watch them rust immidiately!
I once had a similar pair in hand for testing and they seem to be really okay for combat without any additional padding, though.

Greetings,
Wolfgang

That's odd that the photo you posted of your mystery gauntlets and the photo from the originating website are identical.

Luckely I didn't pay that much for the gaunlets (€189,-). The difference is that my leathergloves are darkred and I'm missing the second strap. But that is something I will try and add. I used them last sunday, and offcourse it rained in the Netherlands. But luckely the started rusting straight away. So, I'm quit happy with the gloves. I bought the in a store in Tilburg called de Malle Heks (the silly witch). They used to be a wiccan/pagan/fantasy store, but have added reenacment goods with a good price.

I think they are nice, especially for the price you paid.
