I would appriciate opinions on the earliest date the sallet/bevor combination was worn. Would I be safe to say the sallet/bevor was worn by some men-at-arms during the Orleans Campaign of 1429?

I believe the earliest documented French reference is from a French household account of a sallet and bevor purchased, c. 1426.
