Hi guys, I've got a weird riddle on my hands.
I have an almost conclusive antecedent for the buff coat. The location and period are just exactly right... late medieval/early renaissance (for a given renaissance)... but then there's a huge gap in time before I hear of them... and that's out of my period. Anybody know of fifteenth-century references, particularly for the HRE or Bohemia?
