for the new guy or one that cant afford a nice best armour or thaden helmet. i'd like opinions. they sent me other pictures of the helmet that i can share as well. i have a few probs ehre and there with it but wanted to get others opinions as well.

Hi Chuck,

You know, the only thing that bugs me about that hat is where the lining rivets are set. They should be an inch or so down, in line with just above the top of the occularum.

How can you go wrong at that price? It is definitely supposed to be German, circa 1480, and I suppose you could get away with it up to a decade earlier. Much more appropriate for a German or continental persona than an English one - there is precious little evidence of importation of armour from Germany to England until the late 15th century (Henry VII) - the bulk was imported from Italy, followed by Flanders.

You really can't beat the hat for the price.
