I was wondering if anyone could point me out to a pattern for some maille sleeves to be used with Brigandine.
I could simply construct the arms of a hauberk, and part of the yoke, but I was wondering if there are any specific patterns for seperate sleeves. I would prefer a 90 degree yoke to the 45 degree one as I find the latter a bit constricting.

Cheers.

Thats a very interesting question Tancred. I don't know of any detailed reconstructions of brigandine sleeves being undertaken, although I do know that the RA in Leeds has some in their collection. What I would do is send off a nice letter using the contact list on their website, and I bet you will get a useful response.

Erik D. Schmid would be another fellow to ask, if you want to discuss the subject with someone who has dedicated their career to perfecting reconstructions of mail, and who has seen a lot of examples round the world.
