Hi!I wonder about what was worn under leg armor. complete leg armor, especially in the late 15th century. i've seen many who just wear it ontop of their usual wool hosen. others wear a padded hosen. but on the illustrations i've seen, legs with armor look very very thin, so there cant be much room for padding underneath. at least if those arent idealized representations.
does anybody have found sufficient evidence? i wasnt able to do so, but my knees would feel more secure the more padding i stuff under those armoured knee thingies
thanks in advance
