hi, can anyone tell me where i can any information on 14th century bohemian armour,
ie books,pictures literature

It would help if you could read German, Czech and Polish. I can manage the first one, but have no ability with the other two, so my references are still limited.

In which language(s) would you like the information?

hi, german i might get by aswell only a little bit but mainly pictures of armour of 14th century bohemian armour. cheers

There are only a couple of surviving pieces from that area as far as I recall, so you really need to rely on the analysis of period art and writings. Although extensive research has been done, especially in Poland, very little of it has been translated.
There are numerous publications dealing with art and effigies from Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany which are of value and much of the literature on German armour is valid also for the parts which were under the Holy Roman Empire in the 14th century, centred on Prague.

Here is a list of directly relevant armour literature;
Nadolski, Andrzej Ancient Polish Arms and Armour, Part 1. In; Journal of the Arms and Armour Society, vol. 4 (1962-64) pp.29-39.

Zygulski Jr., Zdzislaw Armour as a Symbolic Form. In; Waffen und Kostumkunde, (1984) pp.77-96.

Zygulski Jr., Zdzislaw Knightly Arms - Plebeian Arms. In; Quaestiones medii aevi novae, vol. 4 (1999) s. 21.

Golinski, Mateusz Rüstungen Karls IV. in den Jahren 1362-1363, Städtischer Aspekt. In; Quaestiones medii aevi novae, vol. 4 (1999) pp.133-154.

This last one is a bit further East, but I haven't seen it, so I don't know if it is of any use. If anyone has a copy, I would love to hear about it's contents.
