Is the Brig that is shown in Treasures of Chartres as belonging to Charles VI actually contemporaneous to him? What is the proof that it isn't? If not when is it from?

Edge and Paddock state that brigs show up in Italy in 1368. Any idea what that (presumed) transition from CoP to brig looked like? Are there any brigs dated to the first half of the 15th century?

No proof here but the brig is NOT part of the suit. It dates from probably 100 or more years later. It is not a 14th century style. Bigs from the 14th century are more like the examples from Wisby or Chalcis. There are several more fragmentary Bigs from that periods in other places as well. I am not awayre of any serious scholarship that suggests that that particular brig is from the 14th century.
