In Philippe Contamine's "War in the Middle Ages" (p 126), Contamine says, in reference to armour styles,
" Around 1360 in Italy it is sometimes possible to distinguish between an Italian man-at-arms and English, Burgundian, German, Breton or Hungarian one simply by their appearance" .
Any suggestions what these regional styles included?
